Whew!! After five gigs in nine days, the good news is that we still like each other. The bad news? There's no bad news! We're rockin'! We're still working on our album, Bear Hoot, and getting ready for the release this fall. You can catch us live on August 7th, in Marshfield. For those of you who remember the Calamity Janes, you will be thrilled. Yes, that's right. Abby Jenne will join us for the gig, so be prepared for some magnificent harmonies and good times. The next time you can catch us live will be at Charlie O's World Famous Bar and Fine Dining on August 29th. More about that show later. Everyone come to Marshfield!!!!

Friday, June 27, 2008 Ham in the Basement is REAL.
Erin McDermott & the Dixie Red Delights at Langdon Street Cafe, June 20th. This is what happens before set break.
Ham in the basement? What the heck is that? There's a long story behind the phrase involving a child wanting to eat a piece of ham in the basement, but really, it means whatever you want it to mean. And by "whatever," we mean whatever.
It's our live performance piece, a hit with the crowd, as you can see in the video. It frequently causes freak dancing.
Other lyrics to this song include: Refried beans in the attic. Dinty Moore Beef Stew in the greenhouse. Stinky brown shoes in the closet.
Please watch the video, write your own inane lyrical line, and send it to us. We'll sing your line next time we play.

Friday, June 13, 2008 We're buying you a beer.
You read that right. Friday, June 20th, at Langdon Street Cafe, we will buy you a Pabst twixt the hours of 11:30pm and midnight. The venue will turn 21+ at 11pm (we don't want no underage drinkers) and when you hear our song "Pabst Blue Ribbon," visit the bar for one on us. Now, doesn't that sound like fun? Not only will it be a blast, but our music will be in full force, having learned four new Erin McDermott originals. Spread the word, tell all your friends.

Sunday, May 4, 2008 Burlington-Bound
Thanks to everyone who came out to hear music at the Black Door last Friday. It was good to see so many people having a good time and dancing.. especially to Ham in the Basement. It's a hit.
We're playing in Burlington, at the Skinny Pancake, on Saturday the 10th. Hopefully the weather will be great and the Burlington folks will be as supportive and responsive as the Montpelier folks have been.
Last Wednesday, our friend Patti had us on her show on WGDR, for their bi-annual pledge drive. We'll be offering the songs for download on the website very soon. Thanks to WGDR for all they do!
